Do I have to leave my existing listings?
No. Bookd is an extra, direct channel, not a replacement. Keep the listings that bring you guests today, and add a Bookd page for guests who would rather book with you directly. Calendars stay in sync through iCal, so nights booked in one place are blocked in the other.
How does calendar sync work?
Copy the iCal export link (it ends in .ics) from each listing or from your property management system, and paste it into the calendar link field of the matching home or unit in Bookd. Bookd reads it straight away, then about every 15 minutes, and reads it again before it shows availability to a guest. Bookd then gives you a Bookd calendar link for each home or unit to import back into your other listings, so Bookd bookings block those nights too.

How do guests find a vacation rental on Bookd?
Two ways. Your rental has its own booking page on bookd.direct that you can share on your website, social media and messages to past guests. And guests who ask an AI assistant for a place to stay can find it through the Bookd connector, which shows your homes, prices and live availability and sends the booking request to you.
Who takes payment and handles cancellations?
You do. You are the seller, and the stay contract is between you and your guest. Your own cancellation policy applies, and you handle any refunds or disputes. Bookd is the booking platform only and never holds guest money. Optional card deposits through your own Stripe account are coming soon; until then you take payment from the guest directly.
Can I invite guests from my other listings to book direct?
Check the rules of each site you list on first: most have rules about contacting guests or taking payment outside their platform. Never move an existing reservation off the site it was booked on. Bookd is for new direct bookings: share your Bookd link on your own website, social media and Google profile, and with past guests who have agreed to hear from you.
