What we collect
- Searches: destination, dates and number of guests, to show you rooms and prices.
- Bookings: guest name, email, phone (optional), dates, the room booked and the price.
- Property owners: the details you give us when you list.
- Analytics: cookieless page statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). We do not use advertising cookies.
Card details
We never see or store card numbers. For "Book direct" properties you pay the property directly; Bookd takes no payment.
Who we share it with
- Book direct bookings: the property you book with.
- Service providers: hosting (Railway), database (Supabase), email delivery and analytics (Cloudflare), under contracts that limit their use of the data.
We do not sell your personal data.
Why (legal bases)
To make and manage your booking (contract), to keep records we must keep (legal obligation), and to keep the service secure and working (legitimate interests).
How long
Booking records are kept for up to 7 years for tax and accounting; search logs for up to 12 months.
EU representative
Caius Data LLC is not established in the EU. We have appointed Akay Ireland Ltd, 36 Gleann an Óir, Shannon, Co. Clare, V14 V006, Ireland, as our representative in the EU under Article 27 of the GDPR. You or an EU data protection authority can contact our representative about any data protection matter, instead of or as well as us: hello@bookd.direct (please put "EU representative" in the subject) or +353 87 238 2368. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@bookd.direct. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the authority where you live. Some data is transferred to the USA and other countries, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
